Could there ever be another Hitler?

I know that it’s scary to think about, but do you believe there could ever be another person like Adolf Hitler that could attain the level of power that he achieved? Someone who took a beer hall Nazi Party and took them to the world stage?
Or could a situation like that never happen again? A person like an Adolf Hitler, and the way he rose to the top? Could that not happen in our world today as opposed to the time Hitler lived in?

Yes, absolutely. If you are a Christian, then you should know that's what the anti-Christ will do, but let's say you are not and look at Covid 19 for the most recent. If allowed, people would have put others in camps that would not get vaccinated (other countries did) or not treat them at hospitals. Some believe trump wants to get in office and change the constitution to stay in office forever. Those same people would have loved for Obama to have a third term. I state all that to say all it takes is the right circumstances and people have shown they would follow a so called leader blindly and attack what they see as the threat.

This is why orgs like the UN and the ICC were created. I don't think any leader or nation is interested in empirical conquest like the example you stated, except perhaps some fringe groups in the ME with no real power.

The country would have to have the infrastructure to support such a rise if you're talking about him invading other countries. Realistically it would have to be from Germany, France, Russia, China, or the US just to have a chance.
If its just about his rise from obscurity to power and not really about him invading anywhere or committing atrocities, then sure it could happen again. I would say it probably will at some point.

Antichrist is just an allegory. Mayans knew. We will destroy ourselves with allowing evil to fester in men like hitler and the so called end of the world happens over and over again as in a reset figuratively not literally end the planet. Only as we know it.

I think anything is possible, but with today's technology and alliances, I don't see it happening.
Even if you look at what Russia has done and is doing, taking over Georgia and Crimea, invading Ukraine...we are spending a boatload of money to make sure its as painful as possible for Russia.
No one in the EU has much military, as they rely on the US. They are all also one huge conglomerate.

A week ago this board had people staunchly defending Putin. If a person thinks Putin is a good guy, then there could pretty much never be another Hitler in their eyes.
Not that that is the board as a whole obviously, but sometimes this place blows me away.

Stalin had as much, if not more, absolute power than Hitler. And he killed as many, if not more people than Hitler did. You could throw Mao into that conversation as well. And he killed more people than either of them.
As for today, if you want to see the sort of absolute power of those three, just look at North Korea.
