I wonder how many desperate people will drive there to buy toilet paper lol. I know the Mormons in Utah are known to be preppers so they probably been stocked up on toilet paper.

No. They’re community-minded people that look out for their fellow neighbor and don’t take more than they need.

It’s weird how the prepping thing wears off on non Mormons in that area. We have some family friends that moved there and are all about it now

They may be all that but they are big time preppers. I work with a mormon. I quit asking him what he is doing for the upcoming weekend.

He is always canning chicken, making jerky, picking up another barrel to store water in.

They are very serious about it and it is driven home by their church

No, he's the guy. He goes around on Thursday and Friday asking people what they are doing for the weekend. To be polite we would ask him. I don't think anyone asks him anymore.

I change the subject to sports. He is BYU and will tell you with a gleam in his eyes about how dirty Utah and every team in their conference is and how they always cheat BYU.

Maybe they don’t have as many assholes in Utah as some other states.

It’s a part of their faith. Have a good friend that is Mormon and those folks do some unusual things as part of their religion. But their women are not af and they are really nice people. So it’s all good.

They keep 6 months of food and supplies for their family on hand at all times. (It may be 3, I can’t remember.). It goes back to their history when they got out to the old west and got stranded and they all almost starved. Their church leader wrote that into their practices right after that.

Uhhh it's pretty well known that Mormons a told to have a stockpile prepared at all times. This isn't even debatable.

We missed out on the rush, and I figure we're still good for at least a month or more... .

BTW, we are seeing license plates from Cali and Nevada in our box box parking lots.

Also, you know that you can be everything on your post and still be a prepper right?

I have a cousin who is Mormon and my Dad used to joke with him all the time that in the last days they would be the first ones to die because everyone knows they got supplies.

It seems pretty unnecessary to drive state to state for toilet paper. Especially when you have Amazon & Target available. Do you live close to the border of those states?
