you cheap frick! don't you know every kid is entitled to a brand new car on the day they are eligible to get their driver's license and that the new car must be presented in a cool and unique way for them to find it?

It know you are being sarcastic, but every kid’s first car needs to be a beater.
My first car cost me $45. It was a 1977 Dodge Colt. The clutch went out, guy didn’t want to spend money to fix it, so he gave it to my dad. I bought the clutch assembly for $45, prefect car for 2 years.

only partially because what I posted is the norm these days, kids expect it, feel entitled to it, and a lot of the "keep up with the Jonse's" parents succumb to the pressure, if a kid has a specific need to have a car the second they get a driver's license then they should be prepared to buy it, insure it, and maintain it

A guy I used to work for bought his daughter a beautifully restored '65 mustang for her 16th birthday. She hated it. He traded it for a cute little Nissan like all her friends and she was happy.
