Well no shite. New Orleans (despite how much is wrong with it and how much shite people on here talk about it) is the only think keeping Louisiana from being Mississippi Alabama or Arkansas.

Where are they actually building new homes in Metairie? Seems pretty well developed already to me.

Got ya. So what’s a 2500-3000 sq foot new house go for in Metairie?

I bought a nice home in a great neighborhood inside the loop for under $300.

Where? Westbury? I can’t think of many neighborhoods less than 300k inner loop.
Heights no. First ward no. Midtown no. West U no. River Oaks lol. East side maybe? But then I’d argue about the hood being nice.

Sounds like the problem lies within yourself. Best of luck.

If you apply the demographics that you listed above this one I'm pretty sure this one doesn't apply

Greater Heights -- Shady Acres still has a few gems sub $300K but they go quickly.

Very few...That’s a good area and blowing up. You’ll be worth more than 400k soon unless we have a recession. My first ward townhouse appreciated close to 100k in five years. However it’s actually stayed flat or gone down a little the last few years

The average home price in Frisco is 350k. I agree they are cookie cutter and have very small yards, but the schools are fantastic and very safe.
It all comes down to what is important to you. I chose Frisco because in my opinion it is a great place to raise a family.

How long ago did you buy? I know prices in Dallas have risen quickly in the last 5-10 years. I just moved to Austin and we all know the market is expensive here.
Houston is catching up from what I can tell too. Texas is booming.

We pay $1600.00 a year on two vehicles, comp and collision with Farmers. '15 4 series and '14 Z4. Is bundled with Homeowners

December 2018. I got extremely lucky with my house. The seller needed to be out and I was the only offer in town.

Numbers do add up depending on where you live.
Built my house for $350K worth $443K now
Property tax is $3500
This is in little ole Watson
If your house is over $350K and your property tax is less than $2600 you are either lying your arse off in the value of your home or you live in BFE.

You'll get a lot of house anywhere outside of New Orleans for $350,000 in LA.
You have to go pretty far outside the major cities to get a lot of house for 350k

You can definitely buy a McMansion in Prairieville for that.

Dutchtown high and Katy high have the same average act score - 26
The job markets definitely aren't comparable though.

150k/year ain't middle class. That is upper middle class. You are making more than 85 percent of other households in this country

That would be on par with the top private schools in the state man. You looked at niche which is based on people’s reported scores.
