Don’t forget higher earning power and better jobs in Texas. For teachers as well.

It’s hilarious how there’s this exodus of mediocre losers that can’t make a living in Louisiana to Texas
Y’all are just like the loser Mexicans that can’t make a living in Mexico that go to Texas

That's cute
Name one, and am not talking about food, Mardi Gras, LSU football, industry or sector in arguably one of the most richest of States with natural resources that Louisiana leads in.
You ran off O/G, have allowed one of the most charming cities in the world to become a cesspool, hadn't attracted a major economic player in New Orleans area proper and ought to be thanking God for Lake Charles. Seriously, just what does Louisiana do well of any consequence?
It is not just about making a living. It is about a quality of life, which includes making a living.
I assume you are referring to the Mexicans who helped New Orleans off her knees post-Katrina.

Another thread about baws justifying their move to Texas

I e lived in New Orleans for over 60 years. I’ve always had a good paying job and enjoy things that are world class culture wise. We’re the original melting pot, the original cultural spot and on any given night can find multiple live music venues and great food in a small city with no traffic. You couldn’t retire me and give me a house in Texas. I’d hang myself of boredom

Do you live in Wichita Falls?

. Most of the $350k homes in Houston suburbs were built by the national homebuilders (DSLD, Pulte Homes, DR Horton, etc) and they build shitty homes that all look the same with the cheapest possible materials
———If you’re talking new construction, maybe you’re right. But an existing home around beltway 8, 3500 sq ft, no flood, <$250k I bought one.
Good School 3 blocks away.

He isn't wrong. Most of those master planned communities are built by Dr Horton. I've lived in one of their homes before and been in many others in that neighborhood. They are shite. There wasn't a 90 degree angle in those damn houses. Cheapest hvac units they could possibly put in them, particle board cabinets etc.

LOL, I understand
Came to Texas in '90 and has been good to us
Grew up in Metairie and then River Ridge, small family, sister in BR and other in Zachary
I'm always no more than 15 minutes from where I need to be. Not much of a city person. WF is the front of the frontier, more of a town than city. I do like Fort Worth, OKC, Tulsa, Lubbock and the likes.

And there was a time when the thought of living in Texas was akin to hell.
To each his own.

Drove through there many times. The wrestling museum was surprisingly entertaining and well done. Do not miss working up in the panhandle in the winter. Most of those “towns” further north made WF look like Las Vegas

It’s all fun and games and second lines until you get a $1000 water bill and murdered by some criminal that lives two blocks from your million dollar st. Charles ave mansion.
To each their own. No amount of live music makes up for having to deal with the Nola riff raft day in day out.

I mean, I get leaving LA, but do these baws know there are more choices other than LA and TX?
Posted on 8/18/19 at 3:11 pm to AbitaFan08
I think for many it’s the most logical choice due to jobs and still being close enough to drive to visit family.

To make it even worse most move to burbs and spend 15 hours a week commuting. I know it sucks cause I did it.
