Once upon a time, corvette made 5 special corvettes to compete against the Shelbys.

They were over a thousand pounds lighter than a regular Corvette and had special handling. Cobras had been kicking their arse for quite a while.

cant find any info about them online. Any info out there?

The 1962-’63 Corvette Grand Sport is the most valuable and sought after collector Corvette that GM ever produced. Only five were built, and all five now reside with private collectors. The Grand Sport saga began in the summer of 1962 when Carroll Shelby introduced a new Ford-powered sports car called the Cobra. This 260-cid V-8–powered sports car was 1,000 pounds lighter than the soon to be released Sting Ray.

What you are looking for is info on the 1962 Grand Sports Duntov built.

Timely thread I just got my first chance to drive a 2020 C8 and will be collecting my thoughts and offering myself up to downvotes in the next day or so.

The Grand Sport with racing livery is one of my favorite American sports cars. It is just a sexy car.

He must have sold it because the 5 are accounted for and he is not listed.

His race team received one of the five original cars. I guess I should have said, he had one in his position. Not sure if the title was ever signed over to him.
