Friends little boy has habit of sitting legs crossed.

He's 100% boy. Obsessed with trucks, hunting, fighting, etc.
Flirts with girls.

His father corrects him for sitting cross legged.
He doesn't yell or anything.
Just corrects the behavior.

My wife and her friend (boys mom) don't like him being corrected for this behavior.

I don't see an issue.
Of course don't yell or punish, just don't allow him to sit like that.

Thoughts?

Mind your own fricking business.

Good lord I don’t know how some of you make it through the day without someone reminding you to breathe.

I’m sure he really cares what women think about how he is raising his child

How a man sits tells A LOT about his character in my honest opinion.

Dad's worried he's going to be a "fancy boy" if he crosses his legs...?

I usually sit with my knee over knee crossed, I just find it more relaxing... and I'm about as hereto as they come...

Start encouraging him to play with his balls in public. Should alleviate the issues with how he crosses his legs.

The dad is a dumb arse. When the boy gets older, his quads will be bigger from squatting and it won’t be comfortable to sit daintily with legs crossed

Problem is the dad statistically is a fat frick and feeds him bon bons and ice cream, so what really is the issue that needs to be corrected?

He is looking at it the wrong way.

If he is obsessed with trucks, hunting, fighting, etc.
Flirts with girls, and he crosses his legs, chances are he will be an educated, tempermental, logical person.

If your friend is upset because he thinks this is the start to being gay, tell him to chill. If he wants him to be the next Baw in the family, then that is not happening.

My son does the same thing. I do the same thing as an adult. My son has all the girls in his class gushing over him, and he is popular. He likes all the manly things that Baws like, but does not identify as a baw.

Tell him to relax.

Do you (or he) really think the difference between his son turning out gay or straight is how he crosses his legs? The father shouldn't give a frick, and you certainly shouldn't.

Because they’re women. That’s why.

His father is simply being a responsible father in teaching his son to behave like a man should. Not doing that is doing the child a disservice. I don’t really care what the world thinks is fashionable these days. A dad teaching his son to behave like a man instead of some ambiguous gender neutral nonsense will never be out of style. Good for his dad for taking and interest in him instead of letting the crazy arse world dictate that and screwing his head up for life.
