Looks like regular flu graph to me. Except that new cases have dropped to nothing.

10 to 39yr olds have 0.2% risk of death... That’s less than the flu.

Yet all youth, college, and high school sports are ending the season. Not making them play without fans, just canceling.

Not sure. But understand we knew nothing of this strain till after most of those that died were already infected.
If bet hardly any young die that were infected last week.

Actually it’s around 10x the rate of flu.

But you are right, it’s a fairly low rate to have this reaction.

The concern is that they get infected, go about their day, and infect someone whose risk of death is At least an order of magnitude higher

The ideal response would be to have elderly self quarantine for a couple months and the rest of the world to go on with their day, come down with their virus and do their normal activities as they already would *a la Rudy Gobert* and then release out the elderly. Less vectors to spread and less exponential rise.

Sweet!

So nothing to really be worried about - this shite will be done in about two months.

The flu is about 0.1% so that’s only double the flu. However it’s the wrong number for the 10-39 demographic. It’s an old graph out of China from mid February.

That’s not true. Cases in France doubled over. Igor and the # of cases in Spain increased by 1/3rd over night.

We tested 8 people in bama, less than 1000 total. Kind of hard to tell what’s going on when you don’t test anyone

Well, that graphic is for China...

Not that I believe the #'s.

Been tracking this 'ish for the last 2 weeks watching for trends. New cases reported / day globally.

Days Per Day %
12 5,313 4.70%

US increase is obviously going to be much higher.

From the birth to age 49 group, I see a rate of around .025%

Hence x10

It was napkin math so feel free to correct.
