I probably haven’t seen them since I was a kid. My dads aunt and uncle, I really don’t know them well but still sad. Being in 90s with this is pretty much a death sentence.

Actually, still around an 83% chance of surviving it

He also has some other health issues. Like I said the Aunt is recovering with the HCQ but it’s not looking great for him. We will see.

God decides. My point was that people who needlessly expose themselves to the virus are less deserving of ventilators then those who don't. I wasn't saying that I or anyone else should actually get to make that decision, though. Sorry that I somehow didn't make this more clear.

Backlog is getting worse. Someone I know tested today and they won’t get a result for 9 days.

That's not worse. It's been that way. Glad they are being honest now.

I’ve had two friends get their test results from 10 days ago yesterday and today, both positive. Both all symptoms gone and feeling fine.

Also found out today my great Aunt and Uncle both in their 90s have it. Great Aunt was given HCQ and is recovering and looks like she will make it. Great Uncle is on ventilator. Not sure he will make it. 95 years old. Doesn’t look good.

Yeah for the good news and very sorry to hear about your great uncle. I hope that he's at least "comfortable" and prayers that he pulls through. If you don't mind me asking, was he living at home prior to this?

Based on the kill rate posted this is going to kill way more people than the flu worldwide

How are you drawing that conclusion?

This is a huge caveat to their numbers today yet people (and the media) will gloss over it and incite more panic.

Is anyone running out?

I haven't heard of any hospital running out yet. Just that they are on the verge of maybe having a possible issue with supply.

So it’s not an imminent realty yet? That’s good. You had me a little concerned.

Ease Alabama medical center had a uhaul truck at the vet school in Auburn taking their ventilatiors, from a reliable source.

Lee county got a ton of cases relative to their healthcare capacity

This. BTW, regions 4 & 5 have no reports in nursing homes. I'm in region 4!

Tiguar have y'all gotten more vents from the government or wherever OR do y'all still have only what your facility had to start with?

And how are the covid pts doing there?

Can I assume that these might be shared with a facility that would need one or two?

Can someone explain a likely mechanism for someone Asymptomatic spreading the virus? It would seem difficult since they aren't coughing or sneezing.

You don't have to cough or sneeze.

You could touch your face/lips/nose/etc. and then touch a handrail. You could sneeze because of pollen outside or rub your eyes that are itching.

You release sputum every time you talk or eat.

Half the people on the OT breathe strictly through their mouths, so they're definitely pushing that shite out everywhere.
