Tennessee Governor Lee changes his orders to "Stay at Home" instead of the previous "Safer at Home"
I'm unsure how this is different, but whatever.

Nailed it.
Just because someone is asymptomatic doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't coughing or sneezing. I don't have COVID-19 (that I'm aware of) but I occasionally sneeze for whatever reason.

And talk
And eat and wipe your face with a non-disinfectant napkin which you then touch again
And yawn into your hand
And breathe
Just because you're not coughing or sneezing you are still spreading your filth.

My county got its first COVID today

Anyone else's governors screaming that they have to have thousands of ventilators?? Our deaths in Louisiana increased by 37, hospitalized increased by 141, vents in use increased by 17.
I don't see needing 10s of thousands in Louisiana.

Can someone explain a likely mechanism for someone Asymptomatic spreading the virus? It would seem difficult since they aren't coughing or sneezing.
Please tell me you're joking?
Good god.

Also just saw they're turning the convention center into treatment?
Is our situation that bad?
My work has been nuts the last few days and I've completely stopped watching news and following updates the last 2-3 days.

They are saying just talking or breathing will spread it.

I'm curious what enforcement means. Are they going to start stopping people driving and asking what they're doing? Or is this just to tell people to not be at a park or golf course or whatever?

The world has passed 200,000 confirmed cases with a nCFR of 4%.
Now past 300k with nCFR 4.3%
Now past 400k with nCFR 4.4%
Now past 1 million confirmed cases with nCFR 5.2%

Be really interesting to see the final nCFR. On one hand it’s still likely to drop substantially bc of lack of testing.
On the other hand China lying about its numbers and the extremely long time of death means it’s likely a lot higher than we thought in the early days

It's not yet. They are projecting it to get really crammed in our hospitals in Nashville. Really, really crammed.
The good news: Our ERs are down like 40% from usual volume and the elective floors are ghost towns, so thankfully we have more capacity than expected at this point.
We're having to cut pay for everyone in the company to deal with not making any money for a couple months, but at least we're still employed.
It'll be a rush to make room in a couple weeks I have to think. Our internal projections in some markets, based on market share data by county and zip code level demographic data around age and co-morbidity rates make it seem like some areas will be really bad.

Here is the official order
Sounds like they'll just warn you and use discretion if you're out wandering around with no purpose.
I'm sure as shite not stopping my daily "sanity walks" around my neighborhood. They can warn me all they want, I'm not touching a thing or talking to anyone.

I'm at the larger CPG in the area for furry friends (sure you can put that together), we're out of control right now. Having record sales.
Supply chain is challenging as hell but we're extremely fortunate to be going the way we are.
Def. going to fall off a cliff at some point but gettin' it while the going is good. And no confirmed cases at our office so far. We've been shut off for 3 weeks now, mandatory WFH.
