Yeah, positive cases being reported daily is such a stupid stat for people to focus on right now.
But the daily deaths and critical care patients is important. If that flattens/goes down, then we're seeing great results from quarantines.

So how are you guys today? I am in a hospital room with doctors and staff treating me with the full mask etc. Whole nine yards. My mom was allowed to bring me my phone an hour ago. They have me on oxygen 24 7 but I am not in ICU on a respirator. They are giving me iv fluids and antiviral meds. My condition is serious but not critical. I got to admit that I am pretty damn sick and I feel like shite but I am optimistic. The doctor is concerned that I may get worse. Said I am progressing in a bad way but I have faith that I will get better and hopefully just stay where I am at hooked up to oxygen. I will keep you guys updated as I can. Not allowed visitors right now. Mom begged them to sanitize my phone and charger so that I could have something to do other than watch the news. My kids aren't really showing any symptoms and the wife seems to be ok. I miss them dearly even though it's only been one day.
On a side note, my boss finally believes that I really am sick after accusing me of lying to get out of work for over a week. Gonna pay me my vacation days while I am out so that's cool. Stay safe guys. It really lifts my spirits to see the support I have gotten from this thread. I will be less of an arse during football season this year as payback. I mean, they can't cancel football season can they?

For real bro. I am a stubborn sob. I only went to the hospital because you guys convinced me. I do sincerely appreciate all of the support. I don't deserve it but thank the Lord there are still good people out there. A new poster always thinks we are heartless assholes but when shite gets real, the fine folks of the OT show their true colors and help their fellow man/woman.

IV liquids of course, breathing treatments and they give me cough syrup with guaifenesin in it like the ingredient of mucinex. I got a shot of something this morning but I don't know what it was.
ETA that the doc told me all those years of smoking likely contributed to my condition becoming serious. He doesn't think the virus is much of a threat to people in good health and those without preexisting conditions like copd.

Hopefully some of the docs will chime in but the Rapivab seems like an odd choice as there has been zero evidence it is effective with COVID-19. It is always a bit touchy when patients try to tell the doctor how to treat them, but it might at least be worth asking what the plan is for other treatments including some of the other drugs that have shown more promise.
Hope Tiguar or one of the other docs can give you more specific suggestions.

Is the Coronavirus in Africa or South America yet? Seems those third world countries would be hit very hard.
