Dateline Ohio
No surprise here since everything else is closed.

Also seeking to move election via lawsuit to June 2 (it was to be tomorrow).

Drive through testing well underway in Cleveland. Hundreds of cars lined up.

I’m just grossed out by all the people who apparently weren’t sanitizing machines before using them before

Not sure if this has been posted, but it looks like San Francisco is the first city to impose a lock down type of situation, as residents across the entire bay area are being told to "shelter in place" and all non-essential businesses are being shut down.

So over a week ago when I first started posting in this thread, the fight over Italy vs German data started. All the people wanting italy to be the standard swore Germany would catch up within a week. How’s that looking now?

I wouldn't doubt it, we are in the peak of allergy season, I am sure everyone in the country thinks they have the flu after spending the day getting sunburned and inhaling 1 pound of pollen.

Estimated daily testing capacity.

Dr. Gottlieb:

Our last update on U.S. #COVID19 testing capacity. As high throughput systems come online this week, testing capacity will substantially increase nationwide. Any limitations will be the testing supply chain (reagents, swabs, sites, etc) - not platforms for conducting testing.

Maybe not the best time to post as more EU countries are starting to look more like Italy and states are imposing lockdowns.

The virus itself has impacted us how? The reaction and panic is what is ruining everything.

Germany has over 5k cases and 12 deaths. I was told they’d have at least 100 by now.

Germany appears to be handling things pretty well so far. Probably why they are shutting their borders.
Germany
Cases 7,174
Deaths 14
Italy
Cases 27,980
Deaths 2,158

Germany has a naive CFR of 0.2% and the majority of their confirmed infections are in the 20 - 50 yr range (last that I saw). So it is a very interesting case study, esp with regard to protecting the older population.
