Only thing that concerns me about this drive through testing is that so many people who have no symptoms will go get tested and waste test kits.

Now up to 33 in Louisiana. It’s going to get to the point where it’s no longer a big deal when someone else gets it. This is like tracking every case of the common cold. It will inevitably spread. It’s going to get old, and it already has to me.

We have to live our lives with extra caution. I totally understand no fans in the stands, but outright cancelling all spring sports to me is an extreme overreaction. I would’ve postponed for 30 days just to see where things go. The wait and see approach could’ve worked in this respiratory virus scenario. It’s not the Bubonic Plague.

So with no large gatherings, no sports, people being encouraged to basically Netflix and chill for 1-2 months, seems as if there will be a corona baby boom (like the hurricane baby bump) around Christmas.

There is some speculation the total deaths might hit 100 by this summer.

In Colorado, doc has to sign off that you need the test rather than everyone with sniffles going through drive through.

“If you have symptoms of COVID-19, first CALL a health care provider, clinic, or hospital. The provider will give you instructions on whether you need to be tested and on where to go to for care and testing

I think its safe to assume we will have well over 100 deaths by the summer

We have 40 deaths in a week

It already has, globally.

We are testing far fewer people per capita than other Western or Asian countries, and it arrived here comparatively late (two months after breaking out in China and a few weeks after outbreaks in Italy, Iran, Japan, and Korea), so I wouldn't hang your hat on the current lack of fatalities. It's going to get worse over the next few weeks, and beyond that nobody really knows either way (could--hopefully will--get better, could get worse), it being a new disease.
