Other than cases going lower in China, is there any good news?

This is odd, but also very fortunate.

Fortunate for the kids but not for controlling the spread. Crying kids with green snot are staying home from school. Kids with a dry cough are sent.

Georgia reporting its first coronavirus death

quote:

Gov. Brian Kemp’s office said the victim was a 67-year-old male who was hospitalized at Wellstar Kennestone. State officials said the victim, who tested positive for the COVID-19 illness on March 9, also had “underlying medical conditions.”

I'm with you. I did vote for him but only because of the alternative. He has done some things I disagree with but I think he has been handling this situation fairly well. I hope that continues.

Wonder how many times he went in but didn’t meet the required testing threshold so they couldn’t start any vital treatment on him

I wonder how many additional people he infected by going home after the first visit.

I woke up feeling off this morning and am very light headed, almost dizzy feeling. Been getting worse as the day goes on. Not seeing it as a sign though. Dont have a fever and no shortness of breathe right now though. Should I be staying home right now?

If you don’t need to leave it won’t hurt. How old are you and do you have other health issues?

I'm 34, diabetic, and did smoke for years so that concerns me.

I've had a fairly strong immune system though.

Political leanings seems to not matter much when you have a relatively intelligent person who is open to input from experts, confident enough to make the necessary decisions, and selfless enough to not worry about the next election for a few minutes. Both sides have people like this, but they are vastly outnumbered by selfish, arse-covering twats.

ETA: Strictly speaking from an emergency standpoint.

TX investigating 1st case of possible community spread.

quote:

Texas investigates case of COVID-19 without travel or known exposure Public health officials in Texas are investigating a case of COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus, in a Montgomery County resident with no out-of-state travel and no identified contact with another person with COVID-19. Montgomery County Public Health continues to work to determine whether there is a connection to another case or whether this is a case of community spread. Community spread occurs when a person contracts an illness from an unknown source.
