Bodies will be 'sent for cremation.' It's unclear if that means cremation is mandatory.
Sounds pretty clear to me.

Three Wuhan families tell
@xinwenfan
that doctors had signaled their relatives had contracted the new coronavirus. But the death certificates all said otherwise, raising concerns that China's official tally may be underreporting the outbreak's severity.

A 53-year-old fitness trainer died on Wednesday after checking into a hospital in Wuhan a little more than a week earlier, said his niece. His family had expected the death certificate to reflect the deadly coronavirus, because as his condition deteriorated, his doctors told his family he was suffering from an untreatable virus in his lungs.
Instead, it recorded “severe pneumonia” as the cause of death, she said. The relatives of two other people who died in separate hospitals in Wuhan this week also described similar situations, saying the causes of death had been given as “viral pneumonia.”
The relatives of all three said the deceased hadn’t been included in China’s official count of deaths attributed to coronavirus.

The patient is a woman in her 60s who had returned home to Chicago from Wuhan in China - where the outbreak began - on 13 January.
There are 63 patients in 22 US states being monitored for signs of the rare respiratory illness, US officials say.

Beijing News interviewed the designer of XiaoTangShan Hospital, which were built in 7 days in 2003. It took in 1/7 of China’s SARS patients in 2 months. “I never thought that the design paper would be used again.”

The Chicago woman was announced early yesterday...
Sounds like all of the cases outside of China are from people who came from Woshun area and not person to person outside of China.

ETA - 7-12% of influenza hospitalizations in the US result in death, for reference.
That is a meaningless statistic.
Only 2% of US flu cases lead to hospitalization. We have no idea what the rate of infection to hospitalization is.

Isn't Scruffy a physician?

Wait. Does this mean your earlier advice to me vis a vis cracking heads open and feasting on the goo inside whenever we get the urge is no longer valid? Because, um, I might have some explaining to do.

It is a well known scientific fact that pandas, while cute, cuddly, and quite erotic, carry a significant amount of dangerous STDs.
Always wrap up before panda play.

Some reports say market, some say, bats, snakes, chemical plant etc. Pretty sure they dont have a clue since the patient zero didn't go to the market iirc.
