Telegraph is questioning China's data openly now

#Wuhan resident Chen Min, 65, died within 10 days of developing fever, cough. Docs never tested her for #coronavirus. She's not incl in official govt count of 56 dead & suggests scale of problem is *far* greater than #China has acknowledged LINK @Telegraph

Well yeah, there is no real treatment, just supportive care if you are really bad off
Sounds like zero “supportive care.” And btw try not to infect anyone!
Just sounds like a very poor strategy for health care professionals to use.

I’m hearing the numbers are off but ratio is probably correct from a mortality % standpoint

Look in my post history, last night I posted an article about her... it's wild.

She died within 10 days of showing symptoms. The best guess doctors and researchers, including the CDC, have for incubation time is 1 to 2 weeks. Yet another example of how little is known of the virus at this point in time.

I wonder how/if this affects Chinese exports. My wife is a director at a company which brings in raw materials for manufacture here. I brought it up over lunch (granted, not the best time to discuss this stuff) and her response was hoping that the materials (needed for oral manufacturing season next quarter) were already en route somewhere in the Pacific. Of course from that view you have the concern of a slowing in Chinese mining/manufacturing... what about from the consumer side of things?
Thankfully their IP theft pushed home media manufacturing from China to Mexico. But if you're getting a Chinese manufactured iPhone in 3 months or even a custom built HP right now, isn't there still a chance it could spread/ refire when those products get into consumer hands?

She just posted this:

Researchers finding more instances of people w the new #coronavirus who do NOT have symptoms - meaning they could be infecting others without knowing. Also makes it that much harder for medical staff to identify those affected #China

No way the precious CCP would lie about numbers this time. SARS taught them a lot. They are building hospitals. Ect etc
Some of you young bucks haven’t had the privilege to see a true communist dictatorship do its dirty work. I’m not talking the weak stuff Venezuela threw our last year.

I keep seeing that story but have not seen anything that confirms any other cases like Chen Min out there. Maybe there are but I haven't seen anything as well documented as that story. My concern remains low until we start seeing deaths show up in other countries.

Send Birdseed over there and that hospital will be up by Monday.

ETA - 7-12% of influenza hospitalizations in the US result in death, for reference.

One person is not remotely evidence the problem is *far* greater.
I find it fascinating that alot of fake news PT guys are quick to spread doomsday news from the media here when they can find it.

You also need to include the deaths that were marked as pneumonia and hidden when they were in fact caused by the virus.

Ezhou and now Shantou are the next cities to be put on lock down. Some of the restrictions in Ezhou include:
- Roads to/from the city closed
- All private vehicles are banned from city center
- Marriages, birthdays, and other private gatherings are banned
- All internet cafes and entertainment venues closed
- Funerals cannot exceed 3 days, close family only, 20 people max
- Bodies will be 'sent for cremation.' It's unclear if that means cremation is mandatory.

This virus is not a doomsday virus, but China is lying about their numbers.

Wait. Does this mean your earlier advice to me vis a vis cracking heads open and feasting on the goo inside whenever we get the urge is no longer valid? Because, um, I might have some explaining to do.
