Yep. Honeymoon in May. I loved that there wasn’t much to do. We even go a little rain and walked through it like it was nothing. Love that place.

Does your other wife know? What about your anniversary trip this year? Or your sons soccer game?

Some other gems from this thread...

I’ve got 3 trips this year. California, Boston and Florida. Cancel them all right? My sons school should be closed I suppose. Who watches him?

quote:

How much of a regular persons every day life is worth affecting if it saves 10,000 of the elderly over 2 years? Or what’s that threshold? 100 lives saved? 1000? How much should be affected? Work from home? Miss my sons soccer game? Cancel my anniversary trip? Where is that line and what is reasonable/necessary?

You've put in some good work here- 9/10, you lose a point for missing your details.

BREAKING: Italy reports 977 new cases of coronavirus and 168 new deaths, raising total to 10,149 cases and 631 dead

For those tracking, that moves the Italian naive CFR to 6.2%

So 3-4 more open ICU beds per hospital will handle the flow?

This years trip is to Boston. 9 years. Going to Santa Rosa for her triathlon in July. Disney in September.

ETA. The may honeymoon was referring to may 2011. The time of year. That’s what we were discussing. Married in April but had to wait till school was out. I was teaching high school math at the time.

You're glossing over the fact that they can't put these people in the regular ICU where they will infect others. There has to be a separate ICU setup just for these patients.

1) Nationalized Healthcare System

2) A democratic European nation that is unwilling to follow the draconian measures of places like China

Much of that country is very rural and many folks were probably already in bad health from not being able to easily get to and from medical care. Just a guess.

I would imagine bad colds still have a pretty decent mortality rate for people 85 years old

Isnt that the average age of death in italy?
