Carry your own handkerchief to dry your hands, hold while you open the door, etc.
The use of handkerchiefs in America is vastly underused.
In Japan everyone has their own

Funny how the mouthbreathers are still downplaying coronavirus just to protect their god Trump. Some people prefer not to live in reality.

That handkerchief would be full of germs

And in my pocket touching my hands all day. It seems to make no sense. Use handkerchief to touch things then touch handkerchief?

it has to do with the baseline expected from panicked masses needed to be lowered due all the pussy millennial and news media running around with their hair on fire
Help me follow your argument here.
Trump didn’t downplay the potential threat and chose a passive monitoring approach because the media overhyped the situation so he needed to establish a calmer baseline to the panicked masses by downplaying the potential threat.

You can buy them from Walmart.
It’ll even tell you if it’s A or B subtype.

I don't believe (and from what I've read over the years epidemiologists don't likely believe) that a quarantine will susbstantially change the number of people who eventually become infected by this virus
They aren’t designed to stop the virus. The only purpose of a large quarantine is to try to slow the number of new critical cases when the hospital system has reached its max. Italy was setting up ICU beds in the hallways of the hospitals in Lombardy. That’s when they decided to quarantine the area. Once the system catches up the quarantine will be lifted.

I wash my hands in public bathrooms and then use sanitizer when I leave. I’m a bit of a germaphobe since having kids.
Also, I clean my phone with lysol wipes OFTEN. People continuously sanitize their hands, but when’s the last time you cleaned your phone? Think of all the nasty germs that you have on your phone... which you put next to your face
Yeah, I keep hand sanitizer at my desk at work and in my car. I also always have wet wipes in my car, and I try to clean my phone every day or two.

It never fails to amaze me the people who walk around thinking that if they are unaware of it, it doesn’t exist.
And they then build opinions based on this, followed by actions based on those opinions that as opposed to ever checking to see if it does indeed exist.

And because things here have moved very fast in the past 48 hours, here is the US:
Slightly outdated I know, but it helps to see it on a map rather than a series of tweet posts.

You can ignore reality but you can ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

I was responding to this question:
quote:
Think that [quarantine] may have something to do with why the rest of China didnt catch it?
My point was that most of the rest of China will likely be infected barring a treatment/vaccine.
quote:

Which is why I said this:

Quarantines "might" lower the slope of the new infection curve, which isn't a bad thing,
