Fauci being a little dweeb as expected... Hope Trump blasts his arse
And the highlighted is exactly why you can’t solely listen to them. They don’t give a frick about the economy or catastrophic effects of staying closed.

WHITE House coronavirus expert Dr Tony Fauci today said lives could have been saved if US had been shut down earlier. Speaking on CNN, the immunologist said the US could start to re-open next month, but warned of a second deadly wave in the fall. "We make a recommendation, often the recommendation is taken, sometimes it's not," Fauci said. 7 "We make a recommendation, often the recommendation is taken, sometimes it's not," Fauci said. During the interview, Fauci revealed that the government had been advised to begin social distancing measures in February. President Trump announced plans to roll out "self-isolating" in mid March. "We look at it from a pure health standpoint," Fauci said. "We make a recommendation, often the recommendation is taken, sometimes it's not

Fauci is probably financially secure. What does he care about the economy? It's why he needs to be a voice, not THE voice.

What exactly did he say that warranted this reaction from you?

I agree.
I’m sure multiple experts of various studies are weighing in. At least I hope - that seems obvious, but who knows

He said lives could have been saved if the “Government” (insinuating Trump) would have listened to his recommendations in February.
You don’t go out there talking shite if you’re part of the national response team. You are a united front and say things like “we could have done better” instead of “We said so and they didn’t listen”
And he was the one who didn’t want Trump to shut down travel to China... he’s a weasel

Well what is he supposed to do? If somebody asks my expert opinion, I respond in the context of what i am an expert in. He needs to worry about the virus. The economists should worry about the economy. The leaders weigh the options and make a decision.

You don't understand, the virus expert isn't saying what they want to hear so he must be wrong.

This. Trump should be listening to all experts and making the call. If you think Fauci has too much influence, your complaint is with Trump.
Medical experts give medical opinions.

I don’t think anyone is saying experts shouldn’t weigh in... The problem is when they weigh in then come back and say “if they would have listened, we would be better off”, especially if you’re part of the response team, it should be a united front”
“We could have handles things differently, but lots of factors play into overall decisions”
And Fauci doesn’t want to discuss his screw up of not wanting travel to and from China shut down in January... He toted the same line as his friend leader of the WHO.

Is scruffy taking CoViD serious yet or is he still dicking around like the president.

I agree with you on this. And I think it extends well beyond just the response team. The partisanship on this issue, on both sides, is ridiculous.

Have the estimates fallen again?

How is this even debatable at this point?

So you agree he is saying “I’m right, Trump was wrong” and is blaming Trump???

Who else should be blamed for not taking advantage of the war powers act? The janitor at local school.

No
I agree that he’s saying we could have contained this better and saved lives if we had reacted sooner. We being the government as a whole.
Which like I said, isn’t even arguable at this point.
Also:
quote:
Anthony S. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has praised Trump’s travel restrictions on China, saying the U.S. has dealt with a lower number of cases because of the policies. At a press conference on Feb. 29, Fauci said, “If we had not done that, we would have had many, many more cases right here that we would have to be dealing with.”
Doesn’t seem like he was as against that move as you seem to think.

And uh oh, Mr Weasel may have some credibility issues on his hands...
Here’s an interview on Feb 29th of him saying Americans should go on with their normal lives...
“No right now at this moment, there is no reason to change anything you are doing on a day to day basis”
LINK
So which is it? Did he recommend a shutdown in early February as he claimed today or do we take the video of him actually saying all is well on Feb 29th? Hmmm

Trump can and will get blame... But if you’re part of a team, you don’t go out blasting your teammate.
Which now, looks like a lie based off the Feb 29 interview he did telling Americans to go about their lives. So now he’s claiming the “Government” didn’t listen to him in early February, but he, himself is telling people no need to panic or change anything. Hmmm
