He's trying to lead since we don't have one. We have someone that says words and makes hand movements. Lots of hand movements and meaningless words the most meaningless words.

You might have to understand the difference between a producing physician and a purely academic one. One is paid on how many widgets he produces and the other on how many asses he kisses.

Take this crap over to the Poli Board. Or just shut up. But this thread is about the virus, not your opinion about the President's hand gestures.

Ummmm.......you sure about that, boss? Because loan applications under the CARES Act for small businesses have already topped $100B. Do you assume they aren’t getting that money? Individuals are to begin getting checks as early as next week. And just a thought.....individuals/families are always advised to have 6 months of funds available for an emergency at any time. Does this same thought not apply to businesses? When a business goes through the process of getting financial backing, is this not something that is accounted for? Honest question, because I don’t know. It just seems like it should.

I’ll take these one at a time

1. Key word being “applications” meaning as of the day of my post nobody had gotten a dollar yet. That was important bc the person I was responding to was saying he didn’t think businesses were doing all that bad for several reason one of which being they had been getting government help. But they hadn’t yet, and btw still haven’t But yes hopefully will come soon

2. As someone who runs a couple of different small businesses I can tell you that every business owner would prefer to keep 6 months to a year of money to stay afloat. Hell they’d love to have three years worth. But that’s very often much easier said than done not to mention there just isn’t a business owner on the planet who thinks he needs to plan for his business to stay afloat while also not being open for 2-4 months.

The individual likely has savings for himself for 6 months to a year but the issue with the economy is to keep the business going so when everything opens back up the jobs those businesses create don’t go away. A lot of people don’t realize that yes, Input and overhead will be cheaper with a business closed down but there’s all kinds of things that keep rolling on such as insurance, all kinds of taxes, utilities to an extent, health insurance for workers, and in some cases mortgages that these businesses are having to pay right now without a single dollar coming in the front door

The most responsible business person on the planet couldn’t conceive of having to do that for a long period of time like this

Well, the nursing home where I do consulting now has 5 positive cases and 27 (if I counted right) results pending. 4 of the positive cases were done at/near the same time as those pending, within a day of each other at the most.

That said, I'm hoping that those are negative and just not noted in the emr yet-- I'm also hoping that the lab would have called with any positive results as opposed to just faxing over.

I dont know what this was in reference to but where I work we had 23 positive cases last week, 5 negatives, and 1 death.

On top of being out of the house for the first time, I checked my balance on my bank account just now and I am 3400 dollars richer thanks to president Trump. Tis a good day.

I tell you one thing, A shite ton more traffic this morning... if I had to guess, I’d say easily 50% of normal.

Wasn’t like that last week. I wonder if it’s either Abbots talk of opening back up or people just getting sick of this shite is driving it.

Companies have been funded through the PPP loan already. I'm approved and expect funding this week.

He simply doesn't have a clue about small business. I'd love to have months in cash reserve but it simply isn't possible. I have to fund the projects I win. I get paid when the job is complete. No deposits at all and many projects take weeks if not months to complete. Add to that 30-45 days to get paid after invoicing and you simply don't have idle money sitting around in a back.

Secondly, leaving a pile of cast in an S Corp is just stupid. The owner personally has to pay taxes on that money at the end of the year whether it's disbursed or not.

I applied with PNC on 4/3. Black hole.

On Friday I switched to a small bank in south Texas. Dealt directly with the bank president. Two hours later my PPP loan was approved.

You don’t go out there talking shite if you’re part of the national response team. You are a united front and say things like “we could have done better” instead of “We said so and they didn’t listen”

There’s a time and place for that.... but if you want to get on the topic of truth, Fauci straight up lied. He, himself went on national tv on feb 29 and told people not to change anything, that life should remain as is.

So yesterday you claim you told the govt to social distance in early Feb and they didn’t listen, so more people died... yet you are on video telling people to go about their normal lives the last day of February.. hmmm

What does that have to do with his advice for the President?

So he told the president to issue orders to social distance beginning of February and then he goes out on national tv weeks later saying the exact opposite?

You can’t have both and luckily we have video of him on the 29th, so him recommending social distancing weeks before is a lie.

I'm not sure why you're having a hard time with this.

The two aren't mutually exclusive ideas.
