And they shouldn't.

They shouldn't mention lifting restrictions until they have a relatively firm date. As the poster above said, if they came out and said "Things are looking better, we will be lifting restrictions very soon" or something to that effect, I'd wager the majority of Louisianians would take that as we are out of the woods completely and let's party.

If you dont give people an end in sight, they say "frick it, I cant and wont do this forever so I might as well stop listening now"

You can say a ton of things about opening stuff up that isn’t we are lifting restrictions soon. You can’t ignore the biggest issue in the room just because not everyone will react how you want them to.

Well, here is the other thing

It isnt really the govts job to play daddy or teacher where they lead people along based on how they think the free people react

Their job is to make decisions based on their voting constituents wants and then being honest and upfront with the people

Its funny we are basically promoting the govt white lying to us in a way to keep us in line. I mean what the frick is that

It's just about time for this overblown charade to end. I think we'll be opening the country back up long before the April 30 deadline.

Because it makes everyone feel safe.

In the grand scheme, we have really hurt ourselves with the actions we took.

At a bare minimum, we’ve added $2 trillion in debt, which is nuts, and likely have more coming.

This is really kicking the can down the road.

This affects my generation and all future generations.

But if it saves just ONE life, it will have all been worth it - even if thousands die years from now as a result of our kneejerk reaction.

No one actually cared about that before and no one will actually care about that after this is all over.

Trump ran on eliminating the US debt and then he signed bills adding trillions in debt long before COVID19 existed. Dems whined about increasing debt and republicans said nothing. Just as republicans whined about the debt and dems said nothing during obama.

No one who makes decisions about the debt cares.

You don't care enough to change your vote. And that's what matters.

Nobody has ever really cared about 100,000 people dying before either

Considering what the Democrats offer, I would more than likely just not vote again before I voted for Biden or anything they offer.

They kinda soured me on anything they offer after the Kavanaugh clown show.
