Agreed, it doesn't really make sense.

Mid-tier Cox internets: $80
PSVUE: $50 (for the plan with SEC network)
Netflix: $10

That's $140 per month. I have a cable/internet package through Cox right now that runs $130/month (no contract price). 150 Mbps down and everything except HBO, SHO, etc.

Zero regrets.

Same here. I will never have cable again. Waste of time and money IMO.

I have OTH Antenna I get 15 channels

I have two Fire Tv's and a Firestick (hardwired for speed)

I use KODI for things I have missed, Netflix, and SlingTV. I only have Sling for Sports and the Outside Channel. I pay $20 for sling as an app, which allows access to ESPN streaming with their app.

I can only use Sling on one TV, but almost never a problem. I think if I paid $5 more dollars a month I would get multiple rooms. Sling has about 30 channels.

This is how cord cutters "save" money. I could just tie into my neighbors cable and do the same thing, I guess.

I like how you conveniently left out the quotes that directly followed.

There were no quotes, but if you are talking about the parenthesis, then you are completely missing my point.

Correct, parentheses.

Your point was equating what I'm doing to stealing. Please continue with the analysis.

"sharing" passwords to access content where you are suppose to pay for the access is very similar to me "sharing" my neighbor's cable.

I'm not sure how it is a hard concept to grasp.

So if I cut my chord (130 a month)

I would pay 70 a month for 100mb
I would pay 10 for Netflix
I would pay 40 for PSVue

I am not even getting Hulu and HBOGo and im 10 dollars from my current plan which includes HBO/Skinemax/Showtime.

It is currently not worth it to me.

I do see the appeal though.

Fair enough. Although I don't really give a shite. I used my SO's Netflix password, she uses my Prime password. I use my parent's WatchESPN password, they use my MLB.tv password.

Amount of fricks given? Zero.

Well, it is unless you're paying your parents bill for their service

You cant say one is better than the other without doing a like for like comparison.

Excluding content because you get it from another source without paying for it does not work.

Actually, I save money by paying for PSVue, instead of cable service, and internet. Saves me $65 a month. I don't share shite.

Exactly as I said earlier, you aren't getting my point. I'm not trying to condemn you for it, it just isn't financially a cheaper alternative for people that want to watch sports unless they are pw sharing or streaming illegally.

IDGAF what you and your parents do with your passwords.

I'm making a larger point about the value of cord cutting.

One thing I've noticed a lot of people doing is quoting what their plan costs and not including all of the equipment charges.

My Cable + Internet plan was only $140/month, but once I included my two HD receivers and the other fees it was over $165/month and that was with owning my own router & modem.

I would cut the cord completely if PSvue had VIACOM channels because those are the channels my wife must have. Sling TV doesn't allow DVR so it's not an option. I only have a basic cable package for my wife. I don't watch cable tv at all.
