I did as well. Wasn't that party sponsored/thrown by another tiger board - a predecessor to this? I remember him posting there but can't remember the name of that board.

Was he? I saw a post in an archived thread that Jenx knew him. Is Jenx still with us?

Coolidge posted on Tigerroar quite a bit, mostly the political board. He and Rex were always going at each other until Coolidge banished himself and Rex got banned.

I remember Coolidge circa 2004 calling in to Saban's show and asking Saban about the "cavities in his defense" after a poor showing. Saban blew up. The board had fun with that one.

Yup. He stood up to Saban and lived to talk about it.

Tigerroar had a big shindig at Ernst the night before game. Bag of Donuts played. It was alot of fun and yes, many posters here were there that night. That was back when Tim had a share of that site.

Was it Colby or Coby? I've forgotten...

Knew him first back in 2000 or before on the purple board. Really great guy. Always hated the term "no brainer" which still makes me laugh!

FWIW, he liked Rex a lot. Didn't agree on politics, but they were friends as I remember towards the end at least in real life.

ETA: I switched IRL names with another old poster from TR that died first...his handle there was porttiger or something and was named Colby.

I remembered it being something like that so I did a little digging. He was Cobe Parker.

His obit is still up:

RIP Coolidge

quote:

Cobe was a graduate of Brother Martin High School and received Engineering degrees from LSU (Petroleum), UNO (Electrical) and a Law Degree from LSU School of Law.

And you are right about Rex, I remember both prplhze2000 and Rex helping him out IRL towards the end. If I'm remembering right Coolidge thanked Rex for driving a ways to his house and taking him to the hospital.

I remember Coolidge from the Tigar Lair days. Warren Coolidge.

I think his greatest consider was, "Consider the coathanger." Dude was a rare one.

Speaking of another Tiger Lair poster, The White Shadeaux hasn't posted in a long time either. I think they worked together at one time.
