I've been to the museum at Barber, but not driven on the track. That's a pretty awesome experience.

Typically there is an insurance clause in the contract with a deductible. At Spring Mountain I was able to pay a little more to buy the deductible down lower. Knowing myself, I took that opportunity and made sure to drive a little harder on track. It was a combined classroom and track course over two days so we got quite a few laps in.

Nobody from our group did anything significant but we did have one guy go off track and recover. I’ve got a buddy who is an instructor out there and have heard some pretty great stories.

Great post. I have been eyeing the Porsche Experience here in Atlanta for a while. This greatly reinforces my desire.

This looks like an amazing time, what does something like this cost?

That's the thing, it was free!

Now, there is a driving school there with various prices for each, but this was through a dealership network. All these folks were customers.

barber is a beautiful track. I went with a buddy that has a family member that races and it was fun even though I dont like racing. The motorcycle museum is also a good way to spend a few hours. I think it is the largest in the world. I would love to know how much they insure that building for.
