you're disingenuous like hell - you know I was talking about the guy's post who said go across the border.

You won't read this because you don't want to admit you're wrong, but hopefully others here will read about idiot Americans crossing the border in the past 5-6 years.

What's Baton Rouge got to do with it?? I've lived in New Orleans, big deal.

I responded twice dumbass.

Once to the OP and once to the Trev guy who recommended crossing the border.

ETA: and then your inferiority complex self came flying in with a temper tantrum.

As somebody down there regularly, I wouldn’t say there’s much fun to be had… I say that as somebody who likes the valley. If you were in Brownsville the answer would be way different.

Salt, Il Devino, Santa Fe Steakhouse, and Republic of the Rio Grande are good restaurants.

Edith’s breakfast buffet is really good for the price.

If you’re looking for a good morning walk/run the Mission Hike and Bike trails are some of my favorite in the state. You’re in the shade the whole time.

There’s a top golf as well

And there are fine latinas down there in high concentration. I’ve traveled for 15 years and have never been unfaithful but been more tempted in McAllen than Dallas, Austin, etc.

I feel like I can entertain myself anywhere for a few evenings if I end up there for work or something. Like surely there’s some good restaurants and a museum or two in any town.

Where can one find these temptations?

If you want trashy and to feel bad about yourself, the aforementioned Twin Peaks or Ojo Locos. I don’t usually frequent such places but I figured Ojos Locos was just a sports bar. It is not. never went back.

Salt or Il Divino would be the places. Maybe Costa Mesa.

You don’t drink and I don’t frequent bars looking for women, so I don’t know what nightlife is like past 9 PM.

Divino is a good one. Roosevelt’s and Bourbon St also.

Pretty much any slightly upscale establishment will have plenty of talent on display.
