Do you want voters but no tax base?

Because that is how you get voters but no tax base.

At which point SWB attempts to pass a city income tax on people working in BR, which will be a huge shitstorm for the metro council.

I don't think any of the land their building on flooded. A few houses that back up on the course did though

It was nice when my parents moved us there in the late 1970’s. Lived there for 12 years while going to Twin Oaks, Sherwood Middle, and Tara.

You can’t keep a good thing though.

If they want all the people currently living in that area of Sherwood to either move to St George or the outlying parishes, this would be a way to do it.

If you live in Sherwood now, why wouldn't you already be moving? I doubt this changes much.

Had school busing never happened that area would be booming. Those were great neighborhoods and schools.

Those particular houses, IIRC, date back to the 60s and 70s.

Chances are a lot of people living there have been there for decades and plan to be there until they die. Kind of like some relatives I had who lived in NBR as it transitioned from being blue collar white to a war zone.

The area degrading as they live there is one thing. Putting the ghetto right in their front yard may change matters.

Well of course, but the developer doesn't give a shite about that.

Besides, I'm sure he's paying good money to make sure he gets the zoning outcome he wants.

Plus, Parish is looking at tax revenue on vacant bankrupt golf course or 270 rooftops. It is no comparison.

Love the dv(s), keep them coming. Not sure what else you call it when kids are shooting guns at each other during a middle school football game. War zone works pretty well.

That’s Jones Creek running through the middle of the picture. Those houses on the creek throughout the entire picture flooded in 2016 so that land clearly flooded.

It is not nearly as bad as you people make it out to be.
Come at me, bro.

They are building a massive 470 house neighborhood right next to Jones Creek on Jones Creek Blvd.
