Women think that they can get away with it because "women are not predators" plus they dont think an underage high schooler/ jr high kid is going to complain.

IE women are retarded. Boys won’t complain but they will always brag.

Boys are dumb for bragging and women are dumb for thinking they won’t.

You've finally seen an entire generation of young women go to college and into the work force. In droves.

Was just a matter of time.

I think some truly are pedos. Others are just in this position with young guys that are more mature physically than mentally at the moment. And women can just be as horny and pervish as men.

I went to three different high schools, though, and I did not have one, single male coach who wasn't married to a former student/player.

I don’t believe you.

you just hear about it more now, in the past it was kept as a dirty little secret like with priests molesting kids.

there are, and have always been, just as many sick freak women wanting to have sex with under aged boys as there are men wanting under aged girls.

the age if internet and social media just means there are no barriers where the story gets burried so it all gets out

When I was in high school, there was a teacher there that had guys at her house on a regular basis. I was younger than the guys she was doing. But it wasn't a well kept secret. But none of the guys ratted her out. I went to a few private parties where the older women there were very aggressive. There was one in particular who gave her daughter fits because she hit on every guy that she brought home. I didn't get involved because it wasn't something I wanted to do. But to say that it hasn't been a thing for years is just not true. Most guys don't rat them out. They do tell there friends. Back then, I never thought of it as being a crime.

I think this phenomenon is fairly recent, maybe 35-40 yrs old.

Women's liberation and sexual revolution happened in the 60s and 70s.

Prior to that, in the Leave It To Beaver and Andy Griffith show era, I don't think you had new grad school teachers (female) even remotely thinking about sex with a student.

The average 16 year old and up railing a hot teacher may be cause for termination, but is in no way a crime.

the fact that the young one can't support himself no less a family has a lot to do with this societal norm.

Condoms are not permitted in some catholic households.

The anti abortion crowd owns sexuality now. No condom means no sex for 16 yr old boys.

B . We just see more of it thanks to social media.

As you know it's been forever it was looked at differently in the past.

isnt this disturbing that male teachers are doing this and none have been caught? what about the 50s to 90s??

They get caught. But when a girl is the victim it's a serious crime story that has to be handled seriously and often somewhat discreetly. When a guy is the "victim" the media treats it like TMZ treats stories, because nobody really views the guy as a victim or the woman as a predator.

Lets start by admitting there are double standards in life, guys win some, ladies win some. The average 16 year old and up railing a hot teacher may be cause for termination, but is in no way a crime.

I completely agree. What school does your daughter go to?

Then again, maybe we're just hearing about the chicks due to reporting.

A lot of these teachers seem to get busted because of texts and pics. This may have always been going on but in the past no one believed the dude that said he boned a teacher. Now he has proof.

there’s a rather sizable chunk of women today out there who are sexually attracted to underaged boys. I think the notion of pedos just being pervy men needs to be revisited.

Or the definition of pedophile needs to be revisited.

I think it does does actually happen more now than in the past, primarily because of texting and social media.

When I was a kid a teacher would have to talk to me face to face or call my house and risk getting my parents. Now they can communicate 24/7 without parents knowing.

Every one of these involves texting or Snapchat. It makes these relationships way easier and more likely.

This. More technology to log it. At my high school there was a teacher known to entertain certain members of certain athletic groups.... no cell phones to record anything.

Dudes get 20 years, women get probation. Men have much, much more to lose. I don't think the crime is any different, it's statutory rape regardless, it's just women are given a slap on the wrist and know they can find some other man to take care of them if their career tanks.
