You took one for the team and couldn't get the other half to suck them out?
My wife got some plastic looking contraption inserted. Nobody is cutting on my boys.

“post vasectomy pain syndrome”
This happened to me. I had the snip about 10 years ago. No regrets. But about 6 mos post op, I started getting a shooting pain in my sack about 5 seconds after I got off. It would subside to a dull throb after a minute or two. But honestly, what is the point of being alive if it hurts to ejaculate?
Anyhow, I went to several pain guys and specialists and all that. And they basically said the same thing. That it would go away in a few years.

I would do it all again. But at the same time, I wish I had known that post vasectomy pain syndrome was a real thing before I dove in.

Got mine on a Friday morning and was back to work Monday morning. Followed my Drs exact orders: buy a pack of briefs a size to small so your nuts cant hang down, lay on the couch all weekend and only get up to use the bathroom, keep an ice pack on your balls while laying on couch all weekend. Worked out perfect for me. You can’t tell the difference when you nut to answer the second part of your question.

Follow up question, is it covered by insurance?

Do it. Walk crooked for a few days. Can’t lift weights for 7 days. Takes about 20-25 finishes to rid all the sperm from your loads. Soo, like 2 or 3 days. Does not negatively impact performance or libido. It cost me $640.

Best money I ever spent
I paid $30 to have mine done. Did it in the office on A Friday Afternoon and I was back at work on Monday, but I did take it very easy.

Mine was about 12 years ago and it was covered by insurance. They would rather pay to have your balls snipped than pay for more children.

>I was in your boat 5 years ago and stumbled onto an Internet forum for “post vasectomy pain syndrome” that scared me shitless.
That would be www.postvasectomypain.org
There is also a subreddit at www.reddit.com/r/postvasectomypain
Only 1-2% have this issue, but yes it can lower your quality of life permanently.

I’ve researched on my own and consulted physicians
It is a simple procedure so I checked with the LSU Vet School and asked them if they could do it. I was in and out in 30 minutes at a third of the price.

Had it done over 15 years ago. No issues. Works great, lasts long time. Follow your docs instructions. It's great, covered by insurance no problem.

Rubber band ligation. Horribly underrated procedure one can do in the comfort of home quarantine. Get the family involved, it's a hoot

Didn't bother reading all the responses but I had it done when I was in my late 40's and surely didn't want any more kids at that age.
Piece of cake as far as the procedure and recovery in my case. It was done right there in the Urologists office one afternoon and when done I got in my truck and drove home.
No real pain, just some slight discomfort for a couple days and once given the all clear by the Dr. there was no difference in the sex life other than how much you ejaculate. Being at peace of mind that kids were not in our future actually helped improve the spontaneity of our sex life.
Then about 5 years later the wife started having issues on her end and wound up getting a hysterectomy, so we're both spayed now.
