St Jude is very picky about who they take.

I guess congrats on the blue ribbon but it’s really a load of malarkey.

I’m sure they are. Literally every other school in the area is the same. It’s an elementary school. There’s nothing outstanding at all about it. Chest thumping OP included. I guess 40% of the time is enough to cheer lead.

All of the parochial schools go in waves - for a few years there were national merits/ap scholars from Mercy, then it’ll be Aloysius, then STM, now it’s St Jude’s turn. I’m sure St George is in the rotation, too.

All the glory given to the school for doing its job usually not acknowledging the fact that it’s the parents involvement in the kids’ lives that make them successful

I get it. Small school, small brain trust, and local ambitions. Congrats I guess.

You're kind of coming unhinged here. Sorry your kid didn't get in.

I’m unhinged, but not on this. Literally no one has St Jude on their list unless you live around there. I lived across the street and after one tour decided SGS was exponentially a better fit.

And if you’re kids are into Cotillion, Dance at Taris etc…just know the St Jude kids are the weird ones.

I only have daughters. Your mileage may vary. I do know there’s not a boy parent in town who would choose to send their boy there if he can walk and chew gum at the same time.

2025 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Twice in the last five years.

Aloysius has had 2 blue ribbons for awhile, plus that entire program is ending so all the blue ribbons will soon be pointless.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. For some reason I was starting to think a grown man trashing an elementary school, the kids that go there, and their parents all bc someone pointed out they won an award was a little unhinged.

Would you say they are as weird as a dad posting 7 times on a thread just to trash children bc of where they go to school or not quite?

My blind date to LSU homecoming one year is a teacher at St Jude. I got drunk and made an arse of myself. If you mentioned my name I'm sure you'd get an eyeroll from her

Well, I know that if I am picking a school for my kids to set them up for success, the first priority is the number of students involved in Cotillion.

Agree with this post to a degree, but Operators are closer to 200k these days.

I’d pump the brakes, go back and read your posts again, and reevaluate.

Add the salaries of their dental hygienist wives and it's closer to $300K, all before they're 30 years old.

Funny to see that the try hard elitist stereotype of St. George School still hasn't changed.
