Those 30,000 people are worth the risk of just one person’s health

It's cover to arrest the pedos away from the park.

I'm sorry your parents didn't love you.
My wife's parents met while working at Disney.
I have a dozen or more family and friends that work at Disney.
I have no ill will toward people that are just trying to earn a living. This isn't Disney's fault, it is very specifically Democrat politics' fault.

I wish these companies could prioritize layoffs towards "shutdown supporters".
They should deal with consequences.

They are apparently still keeping two of the seven Dwarfs and roughly fourteen of the Dalmatians for now.
I heard they are going by seniority in those departments but no promises that there won’t be additional layoffs.

Just an update... One senior manager with 40 years experience with Disney was let go today. They are not playing around.

I feel extremely sorry for those touched by this travesty. Quite a few highly skilled performers such as the Grand Floridian Orchestra and the pianist at Port Orleans/Riverside are caught up in this. I have personally enjoyed both over the past 20 years quite a few times. Such a travesty. Disney buying right in.

It sounds like the senior manager was previously safe from being eliminated by being in a “protected class” but now they can address, unfortunately, with the guise of mass layoffs. He/She will probably be replaced by someone for 1/3rd the cost (also saving on all the perks of someone that tenure) in a few months.
The same thing is going on across the country in the hospitality industry. Not a great time to be a Cirque acrobat, tenured valet driver (making twice the base pay through merit raises and three times the vacation as someone brand new), etc.

Animal kingdom was dead today. 5-10 minute waits for everything. Even Avatar was only 25 minutes most of the day. We were done by 2. We ate at the Yak and Yeti quick service for lunch. It was better than the typical nuggets and burgers you usually get. We have a party of 9 so reservations have been pretty much impossible.
Magic Kingdom yesterday was busier than I expected. And then the heavens came down at about 3 and pretty much shut everything down.
Sounds awesome for the magic kingdom.
