Computer Printers are a Scam

Purchased a Canon Printer. It works great - $149.00

Ran out of the "starter" toner cartridge that came with it in a few days afterwards.

went up to best Buy to buy a new Toner cartridge - The toner was $100 - frick all that

Went online and found the same 3 pack of toner for $29.99 - Yea, that's more like it!

Now, the Cannon printer is miserable to use because it gives me error messages saying that I am using "Counterfeit Toner" - Ok, I can deal with a silly message BUT anytime I print anything, I have to manually sit there and hit submit on every single page.

The "Counterfeit" toner is the exact same thing except for a different sticker on it. How the frick is that counterfeit? Give me a fricking break.

So, if I have a document that has 20 pages, I have to sit there and manually hit OK after every page prints. It's actually petty damn time consuming to do this because the printer goes into sleep mode after every print then has to start back up LOL - such bullshite

That's some real bullshite.

But, I'm just trying to warn people on here who are in the market for a printer upfront that if you do find a cheap printer and cheaper unbranded toner cartridges, it can actually end up being a real big pain in the arse.
