People who shouldn't be having kids have been having kids since the beginning of time. If you want to go in that direction I think you could argue that people who SHOULD be having more kids, aren't.

That’s rich.. sorry i haven’t spent my life online perfecting my troll game.. thankful that my “trolling” is seen as amateur level .. now why dont you get back to whining about all these incidents occurring under your President, and then assigning blame elsewhere….. typical… btw we cant even see rock bottom yet, expect many more of these incidents under the 47th president, hope i am wrong but unfortunately i wont be .

I think it has very little to do with diversity in hiring.

When diversity is the most important factor then I think it can have a lot to do with it. Diversity is fine as long as competence is maintained. Diversity is not fine when it replaces competence.

We were giving you the benefit of the doubt by labeling you as a troll but sure, we’ll just consider you retarded if that’s what you prefer

Plane crashes happen all the time. Mostly small planes you never hear about.

We just happened to have one major airline crash followed by another freak crash in a residential area. They come in waves.

Last month it was the Russians shooting another airliner and a Korean crew hitting birds. shite happens, we have just been lucky in the USA for 15 years

None of the above establishes the contention that we're seeing more disasters than before.

Are we, in fact, seeing more disasters than before?

Who knows? That's my point. I see no evidence of that from the author and quoted material.

Can't blame DEI for an increase in disasters if there is not in fact, more disasters.

I disagree. Diversity hires, “legacy” hires, brother in law hires all contribute to the problem whether through lowering of standards, getting points for being this or that, or just getting a pass on accountability because of who you are or who you know.

I think the elephant in the room is that a lot of people who shouldn't be having kids have been having kids for 20-30 years now, and those kids are now working important jobs.
The flip side of that coin is most of the people you believe should have been having kids haven’t been having them, at least not in significant numbers.

Maybe they should offer higher pay to attract better candidates. They have the money, Union Pacific had nearly 7 billion in net income last year.

So I was prepared to try to dispute this premise until I actually looked it up. Holy shite, I had no idea how profitable UP is.

Union Pacific had $6.4B in net income in 2023, on $24.1B in revenue. They could have given every single one of their 31,000 employees a $100,000 bonus and still run at a ~13% net profit.

That’s fricking wild. Especially when you realize that in 2000, they were running at ~8% net profit on less than half the revenue with over 50,000 employees.

So.. yeah, if they aren’t finding qualified candidates it seems like a pretty easy fix.

That's crazy, I didn't know that.

I also find it interesting that each of these last two crashes involved craft manufactured by Bombardier, which is seldom in the public eye.

Also, we appear to know the identity of every person involved in the crash except the helo pilot.

Obviously, her identity is known, she's an Army officer, and she was piloting a Blackhawk that collided with a commercial jet, yet bc her parents request privacy that information will not be released? Hmmm ...
