What time do you get off work... 8?

Still light at 7 in the summer....

DST doesn't work during the winter months, it wont get light till after 8am. They tried it in the Seventies and parents complained about their kids waiting for the bus in the dark.

I know it varies by location, but it's light until 8:30-8:45 in BR during the summer.

Standard Time year round. It used to work just fine. We tried DST year round. It sucked worse than changing to DST.

Standard Time is the way to go.

Dst nonstop for me. More people get to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Easier to get to the fishing spot. Easier to cut grass after work.

Screw dem kids at the bus stop

I must be the only on in the country who has zero problem with either one.

I've said this in many threads about DST. But the morons that want to fish, play golf or cut grass in the middle of the winter just don't get it. DST is dumb and should be abolished.

I don't see how retired folks would ever care.

So is the only argument is for the kids at the bus stop? Any other arguments?

Braxxton and Bailey do not ride the bus. They are safely delivered in BearMama’s Palisade with the stick figure family and 30A sticker on the back.

Some places wouldn't get sunrise until after 9am at times of the year. Standard time is more naturally aligned with our circadian rhythm.

I actually agree that it getting dark at 5 sucks for the 3 or so months it happens, but I'd rather have that than spending hours of my morning in the dark. Plus, the sun goes down too damn late during the summer anyway imo. 95 degrees at 8:15pm sucks.

I prefer standard but just put it one way and leave it forever.

I enjoy the way it is right now. I know I’m in the minority but I don’t mind it getting dark early in the winter especially if it’s cold.

One of the best parts of living in Arizona was that they never change the time. Let's just go to whatever they're using and be done with it. Such a dumb system to change the clocks.
