Y'all are right. Jeep, Chevy, and Kia are much better than Honda, Toyota, and Mazda. Good luck.

Blondie drives a Yukon Denali too, I drive a demo, usually a Jeep Grand Cherokee(sometimes 2 row, sometimes 3 row L), both totally different vehicles, size & power. Gotta admit, from a value standpoint, whole lot easier to justify $40-50k'ish for the Jeep, than well over $80k for the GMC...

Comparing new 3rd Row SUVs:
Just suck it up and get a mini van.
Especially if your price range is 40k. We did the minivan for 4 to 5 years. Just own being poorer when you are. None of OPs 3 choices look any better than a minivan anyways. Maybe that's the poor people version of keeping up with the Jones.

I didn't vote. If you think it's better then a Highlander, 4runner, Cx90, Pilot, Lexus whatever you're mistaken.
You're vote doesnt mean much does it?
Lexus\Toyota are good brands obviously but Kia has taken massive strides since COVID. To deny this is just putting your head in the sand
You're using an outdated mindset brethren.

Some of them are good. I think the Kia Forte will run for like half a million miles. Was just curious why OP wasn't considering some of the best available. Highlander is obviously costly because they cant keep them on the lots for a reason.

The $40k price range does put me in some minivan ranges. I feel better about the cars that have slightly more features than the ones who are just bare bones features. It's not entirely a preference thing, I do feel that cars with the added features have a bit more thought put into building them. I could be totally wrong.
Highlander would be an awesome choice but I am having an incredibly hard time finding one in the area at our price point. Pilot as well, but that is in the same boat and I do not want to have to try and buy direct from the manufacturer just to pay more than what I want.
I also understand negotiating is harder than ever with everyone buying car well over sticker price. The cars I listed were all somewhat available in most areas within the state that I am willing to drive to and make the purchase within the day.

Who said that? You must be a woman.

Looking at Allstar Toyota BR. $48k MINIMUM for base model Highlander is robbery, and suckers are going to buy that without flinching.

I'm sorry you have to drive a Kia. Don't take it out on me.

Pilot as well
I bought a fully loaded pilot with AWD last year for about 48 out the door. I'm sure you can find something comfortably equipped in the low 40s. Or buy one or two years used CPO for even less.

The wife has a Cherokee L Summit reserve
It’s really nice. McIntosh stereo is a must
I think you could find a 2022 hemi v8 in that trim for around $40k. They were probably $60k new

Team Honda Odysseys and Pilots
Too many "call for pricing" and lowest Pilot Sport is $43k, Odyssey right next to it.

So you really need a 3rd row? How often do you use it…
We went from a Tahoe to 2023 Acura rdx tech package AWD for the wife.
Sticker was $52k, we got for $42k
Certified pre owned , 2600 miles
Love the way it drives and handles, and pretty much a Honda.
20 yo daughter and 14 yo son fit in back fine
Only “issue” is 1/2 road trips a year that it’s a little tight. But for the money you save over the bigger ones, you could rent a van or something for that.
We just use my F150 if need be

It's a miserable process. Hopefully you find someone good to deal with.

Mrs. Parrothead has enjoyed our 23 Grand Highlander. Can't say much about the ones mentioned as I have no experience with them, but if you haven't checked out the Grand Highlander, could be worth looking at.
Side note, my mom drives an overland edition Grand Cherokee, and it is a really nice ride. Great features and overall quiet and smooth ride. If the L really is just the longer edition, that is probably the route I would go of the three.

Idk. My son had 2 Hyundais (Tucson and Santa Fe) and the Tucson began to fall apart bc it was paid for. He ditched the SF as warranty ended. I’d find a Toyota.

I like the look of the GMC Acadia’s. They are a little over $40k

When we traded in the Dodge Durango in 2019 - we bought a traverse
It was great. I did not test drive the Grand Cherokee but I did test drive a Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Palisade- I did not like either.
I did like the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander but they really weren’t big enough - so we bought the Traverse.
It was a great vehicle until some dumbass rear ended me and it was totaled. But the traverse did its job and none of us were severely hurt.
tl;dr - go with the traverse
