I use railrunner to get from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. Train rides lull me right to sleep. I always ride on the 2nd level.



Hits 79mph, very comparable to driving, and only $10 round trip.

It's even better in countries with high speed trains. You could live in Florence and work in Rome or vice versa.

I can only imagine. Traffic is already brutal even after that mess, can’t picture what it was like then. Thankfully I wasn’t here for any of that crap.

When I lived in Chicago I would take the L to work, 35 minutes door to door and carefree. I could zone out, listen to a podcast, read, or prepare myself for whatever I had coming at work. I loved it, even in the winter.

Now I drive 40 minutes to work and fricking hate it. Overall quality of life is much better where I am at now, but I sure wish the south would embrace light rail. Atlanta is going to need it sooner rather than later.
