A friend of mine had community service in Lafayette once and he had to clean golf carts at some public golf course. I know you can clean out police cars too.

In addition to these try The Salvation Army. Or United Way may know of an organization that you can assist.
The SVDP and CC organizations I’m familiar with would not be able to accommodate you on such short notice, but I’m not in BR. If they have a food pantry or thrift store maybe they could use you next week.

The Dean of Students had me do 80 hours for some shenanigans I pulled at LSU. I went to some non-profit that was putting on a big charity event downtown. It was one of those things where they had a 5k run/walk in the morning and then events scheduled throughout the day. I got to carry stuff around a warehouse, stuff envelopes, etc to prep for the event. You might search to see if there are any big events scheduled for the Spring and contact the organizers. Tell them that you’d like to volunteer 40 hours of your time. Even if the event isn’t for a couple of months, they are working to organize the event now.

You are fricked. You waited until the last weekend to get this done? Every place that does coomunity service does it Monday through Friday. Unless you show up at a police station tomorrow morning to wash cars, you have 24 hrs of community service to show Thursday.
Thy should have given you a paper that has the hours you performed, where it was performed and a sig line for the PIC to sign as you complete each day. You cant just show up and tell them you did 40 hours numb skull.
Try the zoo or parks. Those will be the easiest.

most places i called said I will have to wait till monday. This mosque foundation said i can come in and serve food to people, but i willneed to bring more supplies.

Just do the trash pickup. It’s like 4 hours of actual work and you’re credited for 10 each day you do it.
Also, I don’t think there is any penalty for not having it done by Thursday, they just don’t cut you loose from the pre-trial program until it’s done.
