I hate when someone is talking about what they ate/drank, and use "wash it all down with.." in reference to whatever they drank.
I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it drives me insane. Especially when the drink is red wine or something that is very much not washing anything down.
I also dislike "fixin to" in the place of "about to". My mother, bless her, has the most southern accent and she loves her some "fixin to".

"It is what it is" is ranked #1 hated phrase for me and has been for 20 years. There are times when this phrase could work, but the majority of the time I hear it it doesn't.

My current hatred is for the phrase "Like I said" and it's used a lot at work. It's a way to tell people they weren't listening to you and I find people use it wrong also. People using it at the beginning of a meeting. Bitch how could you have said it already when the meeting just started.
