This is something you can say while comfortably sitting around playing on tigerdroppings but it isn’t true at all.

Being agnostic is causing your fear
It's not as simple as saying okay I believe now. I can't get you to suddenly stop believing in God. I want there to be a God but I only think there is a 1% chance of that being true.

The way I look at it, when you’re dead, you won’t know it.

At 71 and having cancer, what could be a bigger problem? I enjoy each and every day now
I think for me, I’ve been lucky to get to a point in life where I do enjoy every day. I’m only 34 and I’ve never felt more content in who I am and what my experiences are. Sure I’m still ambitious, but I don’t worry, stress, or regret. I feel confident as the man of my house and have seen huge strides the past year in the quality of my marriage and my relationship with my kids.
And that’s when it hits me that I’m going to die and don’t want to. People advise that it’s best to live life each day with positivity and appreciation, but that’s right where I am when I realize I don’t want to die because life is good.

I’ll welcome death whenever it comes.
I had my fun.
At this point all I am is a worker drone to make money for my employer and pay bills at home.

it is too close to the start of football season for a depressing arse thread like this...

This guy's wife told him today that she's pregnant. He's going to be responsible for raising a child in a few months.

I'm not sure what agnostic has to do with it. If anything, my death sentence solidified my belief in the nothingness of all of this.
I wake up and do what I want everyday now. Granted, I can't do a whole lot. But I do what I want in the realm of what I can do.
I do not believe you can REALLY face your own mortality though unless you are told you'll be dead soon.
My oncologist says I'm a miracle every three months I see him. That's cool but I'm ready to go whenever the day comes.
I've got nothing left to prove.

I don't fear dying in the least bit.....just don't want to experience a long, dragged out painful ordeal like I've seen some do.

I totally get that. Spending time around places where lives are changing is a good way to start changing that number for you
Just go, one time, to a non denomination church and here the Word of God
Just once and see what happens
What do you have to lose ? He will speak to you, directly to you and you will know bc it will speak to your fears in a way no one else knows but you
Just go

That sounds terrible. I believe your problem is nutritional. I highly suggest you try solving this the nutritional route first before going the medical route where they give you drugs.
If I were you, I would start walking, get some sun (vitamin D3) and start eating a Ketogenic diet (low carbs, no sugar). And consider doing a water fast for 72 hours. And eat calves liver or chicken liver a couple times a month for the B-vitamins. And take about 400 mg of magnesium (I suggest KAL Magnesium Glycinate 400/ at amazon) an hour before bed. The B-vitamins will help with the stress and the magnesium will help your mind calm down.
Look up Dr. Darren Schmidt, DC on YouTube and search for "anxiety" under his videos.
I will be following my own advice above, since I am currently suffering from anxiety. I think you will be amazed how much better you will feel about a month from now.

We'll see, but I'm halfway home and certainly not losing sleep thinking about it.

It was a sobering thought when I realized that I have fewer days ahead of me than I have behind me.

I was fortunate to grow up in a large, good family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. When I was a kid, I thought all of my uncles, most of them tough ol’ veterans, would live forever. As a kid, I never thought about my grandparents passing away; they seemed happy and healthy and thought they would be here forever. As they’ve passed though in recent years, one by one, I’ve cone to accept my own mortality and have even prepared for it as far as having my wife (no pics) and kids taken care of.

How do you know we're gonna "take care of her" when you're gone if you don't post pics?

I am ready for God to take me. I have lived a great life....

Life is not fair my friend. I like to face things head on. I dont shy away from reality.

I never cared or thought much about it when I was younger. Went through something where I actually thought I was going to die, and now, it's even less of a care (basically zero fricks given)

TLDR: I have a disease could kill me at any time, I don’t care, I get drunk, I eat like a slob, I don’t care about dying, I only care about the affect of my death on my family.
I have lived my adolescent and adult life with the knowledge of a life-threatening heart disease. I was born with it, there is no cure, and I found out that I had it when I was in my early teens. I did not give a damn about it when I was in my teens, 20’s, 30’s, or 40’s, then I had a friend from high school drop dead from a heart attack a few days after he turned 50. This made me think a little more critically about my mortality. It has not made me change my lifestyle (I drink and eat more than most of my friends but I don’t smoke. I also have a fricked up thyroid so I’m naturally thin) but I’ve begun to think about things like outliving my parents who just made 75 or what my wife will do with all of my stuff when I go. I live my life the way I want to and I feel like I am good to all people I meet, I go out of my way to help others, I haven’t kicked any kittens. So when the time comes, I think I will be ready and I don’t fear it.
