I don't care about the process . I just want to know why they all sound the same. Why do they get this whiny voice?

Is it really all that worse than obsessively following where an 18 year old attends college?

What in the purple frick are you talking about?
There is no "comic book voice"
People of every stripe enjoy comics or other fantasy based literature.
It doesn't affect their voice.

They say when you are attracted to someone that you hear them as the voice of an angel. Might be why they sounded so "sweet" to you.

Maybe it only changes your voice when you take it to a certain level??
OP - what level of comic book geek are we talking here?

Like the guys from big bang theory?
Posted on 8/15/15 at 7:42 pm to dred24
Like Sheldon in Big Bang theory?
He's queer.
BTW, why the stereotypical gay voice. Seems like only the flaming queen types have it, not all gay men.

I've heard it, but only from the experts.

The level of playing a role playing game in the store with spectators

Yes, I assumed they were not gay but maybe

I love how guys will play fantasy football...and then look at other similar pastimes as "nerdy".
As if one form of escapism is superior to the other.
I'm with you there. One of my buddies always tells me he doesn't see how I can spend so much money on video games and computers. I tell him that I don't see how he can spend so much money on golf, hunting, and fishing.

If this is something that you worry about you're probably a bad father.

Your thread is stupid BTW.
There are no stupid threads, just stupid people starting threads.

Like the valley girl accent or whatever else. It's popular among a certain subset of gay males

Better to be safe and just burn all the comics now.
Buy the boy a few Playboys and teach him how to play fantasy football.
Problem solved.

I have done FF before but haven't in years. Football is pure to me. I don't like rooting for players that are playing against my team
Posted on 8/15/15 at 8:01 pm to rantfan
OK. Well just do the Playboys. I think everyone in this thread can agree on that.

These guys all talk the same way. In a weird voice that seems to be on feminine side. What makes them feel the need to sound like this and at what point in their geek training does the voice change. My son wanted some comic books, we went to a little store. It was weird. My first thought was I hope my boy doesn't get into comics too much.
Scruffy doesn't have a weird feminine voice and he likes comics.
A large number of those who are comic nerds are a bit strange though. It is part of our charm....and why we are single.
