Colonoscopy.... How do you drink that stuff?!?!

Man, had a colonoscopy last week and ended up doing the liquid instead of the pill. How do you drink that stuff???? That stuff about made me puke! Everytime i took a sip, i would heave!!! Glad I'm done for 10 years!

Put it in the fridge and get it good and cold. Hold your nose and it goes down easier. I find the lemon easier to deal with than the cherry.

Did you chill it first? What brand did you drink?

That's your problem right there. Use cool/cold water and down it in one go. Hold your nose if you have to, but down it and then chase it with as much water as you can tolerate. The actual taste isn't good at all, but if you do what I just said then it's tolerable and the taste goes away in a few seconds.

The pills were way easier. Obviously it all still comes out. But the pills were cake.

Mine was just Miralax mixed with Gatorade. Wasnt terrible, but I chilled it

Take the pills with water. If a doctor prescribes the drink, tell him/her "no".
It is a lot of pills, but no nasty taste.

do the magnesium citrate protocol and NOT the PEG protocol. I couldn't do the PEG protocol completely and had to have a 2nd colonoscopy. The 2nd time I did mag citrate and it was easy getting through all the prep.

Tried alternating a few different mixers to get thru it. White grape juice, Gatorade, etc. just to vary the taste for each iteration. In general, as I recall the white grape juice was probably the best.
