The CEO of IMG Academy is implicated also... that could get interesting depending on what he specifically did.
The majority of all of our favorite sports teams in the south have a few IMG athletes sprinkled in.
Notice the sports involved - water polo, tennis, etc.
Rich white kid sports where a regular Joe and college recruit look basically identical.
That won't cut it for football recruits and bribes.

Doesn't work for football and basketball because most schools (and fans) play close attention to those scholarships and walk-ons.
Besides the point of this scheme was "just getting admitted", not getting scholarship money. Pretty much all of these people had the cash to pay tuition, but their kids needed help getting admitted. So they would start school as a walk-on on XXX team, first practice go to the coach and say I'm injured and want to "retire" from XXXX sport. Wink and nod and everyone moves on.

Yeah exactly. Tennis and water polo are perfect for this kind of scheme. These wealthy kids run in the same circles, and appeasing wealthy folks is half the battle if you're a tennis pro.

You gotta be kidding. You think IMG took in players for free ? The parents couldn’t pay but somebody did. That’s the big “elephant” in the room.

Of course they took them in with the hope they'd sign with IMG down the road, but no one is getting bribed to fake recruit some white kid at IMG as a football recruit.

[Ivy League school water polo practice]
COACH: What the hell is going on here?
KID WHO OBTAINED A FRAUDULENT SCHOLARSHIP (attempting to calm down a terrified horse): Everything is fine.

Tennis it’s easy to fool the administration sure, but most college players and pro players aren’t really the rich country club kids. Those kids usually suck arse
The coach honestly wouldn’t be able to bring the player to practice or even mention his name at all without the team knowing what’s up. That’s what I’m wondering about Michael center at Texas. How did he keep it from the rest of the team

Pretty sure this is all stemming from the FBI investigation into basketball
More likely the Medicare fraud investigation where the subject was involved in this
Jerome Allen testified in court recently about a similar scheme

Who was involved in Medicare fraud? The guy who ran the college consulting company?
I know the basketball investigation all started off from a Ponzi scheme.

Wait until Uncle Jesse hears what Becky did to get Nicky and Alex into college. I always thought those kids appeared low functioning.

They faked ethnicity to gain admission.
Why would they need to do that?
I want to know which one photoshopped their kids on sports teams that they were not actually involved with. That’s terrible.

Jared "The Kush" Kushner spent $2.5 Million to get into Harvard. Money well spent!

It will be interesting when they release how that last president got into Harvard, and who paid for it.
