According to their company, it is not in line with their policy.

The company's policy is first and foremost to make money and bring returns on capital. If this affair hurts profitability then fire them, but let's not pretend this company's goal was to make people happy beyond financial success.

Nobody know who Astronomer was before yesterday and now it’s a household name. They should probably get bonuses.

I still have no idea what astronomer does though.

LOL. So many CEOs have had affairs and done very horrible things in their private lives and hurt people. Let's not pretend that people in business and capitalists are the most virtuous people to begin with. It's about money. If the affair had never been discovered and the company keeps making money then nothing happens to anyone.

Chief peoples officer...developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent. They are responsible for aligning the company's people strategy with its business objectives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and ensuring employee well-being. Essentially, the CPO is the executive in charge of shaping the company's culture and maximizing the potential of its workforce.

Imagine if Coldplay was the direct cause of the breakup of your marriage. And losing your career. Has anyone lost more due having bad musical taste?

Same. I’d get it if it was CEO from a company that everyone knew existed.

I’m sure that there is a healthy percentage of scumbag CEO’s out there cheating on their spouses. These two just happened to get caught on camera. The outrage is laughable and hypocritical considering the degenerate culture that we live in.

I think it blew up because most people dislike CEOs and really dislike HR so this not only ironic but also revengey for anyone people have ever disliked in those positions...
