Watching the news and seeing our northern friends getting blasted with sub zero temps makes me appreciate the south even more.
What's the coldest you've ever been?

I think it's been in the negative teens here a few times. That's pretty friggin cold but normal cold (20° and up) doesn't really bother me that much as long as it's not too windy. I've felt much colder in LA when it was 50° because of the humidity.
And speaking of cold, the high temperature Saturday is going to actually be at midnight Friday night, 25°. The high during the day is 7° and the low -5°.

-35 or so I think? Remote mountaintop in the middle of fricking nowhere Turkey. We honestly almost had to be evacuated out because the diesel fuel for our heaters was starting to gel.
We got rid of that Turkish bought shite real quick and had JP8 brought in from Incirlik airbase.

-29 F when I was living in Dubuque, IA. Wind chill was reportedly -75 F. It was extreme, killing cold like in the movie, Dr. Zhivago - or the dark side of the moon. Had a full beard back then - you haven't lived until you've felt your snot or your spit freeze onto your face. When you're that cold, both tend to run. Oh, and the moisture from your breath also condenses into a little patina of ice on your face.
