I’ve been to the doctor twice in the last couple of weeks, they finally decided I have bronchitis. Went from that to a 101 fever for a day. Now it’s back to just the damn cough that won’t go away.

Started battling a cold last Friday. Didn’t feel good through about Tuesday and started feeling better on Wednesday. Head stopped up and chest congestion were the main symptoms. Still have some remnant symptoms.

Acetaminophen, Mucinex DM and water were my treatment. I also did some breathing treatments, but that’s because of my asthma.

Why do people go to the Dr when there is nothing they can do?

Currently going through this with massive body aches as well. No head congestion, but nasty headache and a little lightheaded as well. Tested negative for flu and Covid.

Doc said it was likely some sort of Adenovirus. Said he’s seeing 20 people a day with similar symptoms.

Well two reasons for me. First is that I have a history of pneumonia following things like this. I’ll do anything I can to avoid that hell, or at least head off some of it if possible.

Second, we have returned to office and just like being in elementary school again they are keeping attendance records. If I don’t badge in for a week without a medical excuse, they take corrective action.

Haven't been sick since high school. Maybe it's the combo of nicotine, thc and vodka I regularly use.

why do you say that? if its viral, not much you can do, but if you have a bacterial infection you can get antibiotics and be cleared up rather quickly

Because it's obvious these cold flu symptoms are 95 percent of the time viral. I haven't taken antibiotics since i was a kid and neither has my wife, didn't realize that was a common thing for adults

We were blessed to all get it on Christmas.

Same. We all had some kind of cold/respiratory deal. I felt like shite for 3 days or so but the damn congestion lasted a month.

I started to get a little drip this week when I got in bed. Took a Benadryl for two nights in a row and knocked it out. No other symptoms

Yeah. I never go for this stuff until/unless it seems like it's turned into a sinus infection or it could be strep.

Motrin, Afrin &/or Sudafed and wait it out 95% of the time

No. But I had a head cold back in '22.

Oh yeah, and I tested positive for the flu back in '13.

That's all I got.
