It isn’t like the movies.

If the closest trauma center is a decent way away and the extent of the injury is unknown, especially with a GSW, the quickest transport method is warranted.

The movies make getting shot in the shoulder seem like the “good spot to get hit”.

There are important structures in that area.

Where exactly on the shoulder was he hit?

I’ve seen people bleed out and die from a “shoulder” injury before making it to the hospital.

Second of all the OP needs to edit....no one was "SHOT AT"

Bro. The title says “shot at baseball field”. It is a location.

They must have consulted one of their Gun Safety Experts they keep on retainer.

Yeah, we have to have 4 or 5 life-flight helicopters on standby during dove hunts for the inevitable pepperings. The risks we take for a couple ounces of meat are insane.

We will never hear a follow up on this story. It’ll be as if it never happened. That guy and his family are being taken care of very well that’s for sure.

tru dat - no way they were 'dove hunting' no shot that sounded 'distant' could ricochet off a telephone pole and cause any kind of injury whatsoever unless it fell into you eye.

Bc this area is on the fringe of development. 5 years ago it was all open fields. And there are still plenty open fields in the area, but development is creeping. The isn’t the middle of cinco ranch.

Looked on Google maps...Its right by the Katy police shooting range..Weird the article didn't mention that

I looked but that seems to be across the road west and south of the fields. And the range seems to face south. So why would a bullet go towards the field?

Why is that one guy in the red just standing there while everyone else is taking cover? Reminds me of the beach scene in apocalypse now.

It wouldn’t because it wasn’t a ricochet and it wasn’t bird shot either.

Sounds like there was a “disagreement” in close proximity

I know we're getting off topic, but this is definitely a movie troupe that is so ridiculous. There are no good spots on your body to take a bullet and just brush it off, same with getting stabbed.

The guy had to be airlifted from ricocheted shotgun spray? Yeah that doesn’t sound right.

Those coaches are typical “Braxtynne” baseball sissies.

I drive through the intersection the ambulance would have had to take to get to the hospitals and ERs twice every day. Even to get onto I-10 from that immediate intersection would have taken close to ten minutes. And that's not even rush hour.
