Individual synchronized type swimming. This girl had passed out before. Coach said it happens occasionally in this sport because they hold their breath so long, like 20-30 seconds. They said it's like running for 20-30 seconds without breathing.

Lifeguards don't know the routines or how long the swimmer stays under so they didn't realize she'd passed out. Coach knows the routine and therefore knew right away.

I admit I didn't read the article, any idea how deep that water is? It looks like it's at least 12 feet deep. Insane.
