We have a waiting list for meals on wheel.
We have a waiting list for seniors needing help cleaning their house to help them prolong not going to an assisted living facility.
Hey let’s have a senior prom!
What is wrong with this?

That sounds like a nice event for the elderly folks in BR.

They are wasting taxpayer money

And this is why so many seniors have STDs

What kind of limo did Tasha arrive in?

Dytarsha said it is an "oppawtunity" three times in that short 17 second clip while on camwa.

"This is an opportunity for seniors in this parish to relive old childhood memories, get an opportunity to do something that they didn't do. There's a lot of seniors that have never been to prom. It's an opportunity to engage our seniors that go to our senior centers and those that don't," said Tasha Clark Amar with EBRCOA.

And I am sure it was. It appeared as if the black community really enjoyed themselves.

No whites allowed?

It's not as if it was a black senior prom only invitation or no whites allowed.
It's just that these type of funding organizations, headed by black leadership, cater to the black citizens of East Baton Rouge more so than the white citizens.
And there's nothing wrong with that. As long as you are black.

No whites allowed?
Elderly whites are no longer found in the northern Baton Rouge region due to the destruction of their natural habitat and illegal hunting.

Stuff like this should be done only when everything they NEED to do is getting done.... If they are struggling getting meals to seniors/helping with healthcare/housing/etc then this should not be done as it is a waste of resources.
Cause you know everyone at COA paid themselves overtime for this event and probably charged all the seniors for their meal and their time.

I don’t see the problem. I bet a couple of those seniors got the chance to rewrite their will for only a nominal fee.
