I wear one. You need a key or pass to get into certain areas at work and I prefer to not clip mine to my clothes. I wear fancy shite.

I wear my badge on a lanyard instead of a clip because I have a habit of taking the clip off and slinging it around all day. If it's on a lanyard, I don't mess with it.

Have to have multiple credentials, so a lanyard is the way to go

Why not clip it to your pants pocket and have the id sit on the side of your pants? Much better option than having to wear a lanyard IMO.

Because the federal government requires the ID to be above waist level where I work.

If you wore this lanyard we wouldn't have to read these crappy threads.

Because if you clip it to your belt, it shouldn't pull your shirt.

Work requires wearing a badge, plus I have to carry a key card to get into certain areas. I also have a token for computers that I need to carry on me, so a lanyard works great for all of these.

I'd never heard the word lanyard in my entire life. After googling, I now realize I wear one. I always called it a necklace.
