I’ve been to the top once and looked down the glass for thing they have. My butt puckered so much I’m pretty sure I created a draft in the hall. I’ll take a pass on this one.

Nope. Not unless I was drugged and forced to at gun point.

Either they're really short, or that ledge is more than 5'....

The glass balcony in the Sears Tower scratched that itch for a long arse time.

If I’m that high up I better be in a functioning airplane.

Not familiar with high winds at altitude, I take it.

I worked for a radio station in Chicago and the engineer said he would drive me home (we were good friends and lived a few houses down from each other - heck he got me the job!) but first said he had to make an adjustment at the transmitter, do I want to go up to see what it is like?

At first I said yes but then it dawned on me he was going to go to the actual roof of the John Hancock Tower! The actual roof!

I said I would be fine waiting downstairs.

Lots of people do not realize that the CN Tower sways from side to side due to the wind. It's built to tolerate that movement. I've been to the tower and at the top near the restaurant, you can see the water in the toilet moving from side to side. That platform has several uses: maintenance on the lights, preventing most people from committing sideways, and preventing ignorant people from tossing things over the side. Yeah, I got queasy peering out from the safe side onto the platform and the ground. And the elevator to the top? It goes up so fast that you can actually feel the g force build. And going down? There is a brief period when you feel weightless and think your head is going to hit the elevator ceiling. Fantastic view of Toronto, though, day and night.

Each section of the crosswalk is 5 inches wide and there are 14 sections, plus a partial section on the inside and outside for a total of approx 66 inches.

If you watch the video you can see it is pretty narrow.

Click the aforementioned video.

Not sure about the reward for the risk / price when I can just get a window seat on an airplane

Funny, I love the view from an airplance. Same view from building and I want to faint.

I like to climb on top of tall mountains. There is real rock under my feet.
