His dad has previously run for president in Sudan on the promise that he would persuade the US to drop sanctions against the country for promoting terrorism. He declared himself the "lawyer for the Quran," after that dumbass preacher in Florida wanted to hold a book burning of Qurans. He is also (allegedly) known for always raising a stink and going out of the way to cry Islamophobia.
So yeah, I absolutely think that his father pressured him into bringing it in to garner sympathy after the inevitable reaction.

Yeah, that's exactly the reaction I expected. Common sense be damned. If there's one thing liberals hate, it's reality.
You kinda sound like those stupid arse women that dress like whores and walk through bad neighborhoods at 3:00 am then get pissed at the world when they get sexually assaulted because "it's their right to dress how they want and go where they want without fear of getting raped".

If this was a white kid, I would fully expect and demand the exact same treatment. I'm a Libertarian as well, but I notice that many Libertarians get way too idealistic and completely ignore realities. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. Don't bring something that looks like it could be construed as a bomb to school. It's common fricking sense, of which you have none.
